I’m about a third of the way through the first book in this series, Stormblood, right now and enjoying it so far. I haven’t read much of it, but I think pre-1800s historical fiction is going to be my jam. I’m not sure if this is the best place to start, but it’s what I have.Īnother one I’m convinced I’m going to love. I haven’t read any Tad Williams yet, but I’m convinced I’m going to love him. I’ve been interested in South Africa ever since The Color of Friendship on Disney Channel (one of the best DCOMs), so I’m looking forward to learning more about this transformational figure in the country’s history. I will be reading it within the year for r/fantasy bingo’s “bottom of the tbr” prompt. I think this has been on my tbr longer than almost anything else I own. I really love taking the Lovecraft Mythos and making it better 😌 ⠀ My unwitting victims - sorry, players! - are in Egypt, and I have stared at far more Google earth shots of Egypt and the pyramids from above that anyone should have to 🤣 particularly since I just make shit up and stick secret temples and pyramids and alternative dimensions wherever I want, anyway 😁👌🏻⠀ It's the 3rd part of a game called Sands of the Skinless (a 1900s timeline that follows on from the first pilot game we did - Echo of the Void, and the tl we've now played 7(!!!) games in). I'm on the break in the middle of ttrpg! It's different to the Saturday night games in that we play most of the day, and we do them 3 or 4 times a year. QOTD: how's everyone doing?
